Ant Control

Ant control is a critical foundation of effective biological pest management. Ants protect honeydew-producing pests such as aphids, whiteflies, mealybugs, psyllids, and soft scale, by aggressively driving away beneficial insects in order to harvest their sugary honeydew. Managing ants allows natural enemies to do their job. Low-toxicity borate ant baits, delivered through bait stations or dispensers, are carried back to the colony where they gradually eliminate the queen. Additional control can be achieved by disrupting ant mounds and trails and by excluding ants with sticky barriers on tree trunks and bench legs, cutting off access to honeydew and weakening colonies over time.
